How many offices have become ad hoc "server rooms"?

It's understandable....you have a small IT environment that you can manage, why hassle with "central IT"?

Problem is, there are dozens of ad hoc "server rooms" in the building now, and the electrical and air conditioning systems were designed to handle IT systems.

And the building that is LEED certified and designed to run highly efficient can't, because the IT systems need 24 x 7 power and cooling...

Put a Velocity data center next to the Academic/Administrative building, consolidate all those small IT environments into it...allowing the building to return to being highly efficient, and the IT systems will be happier too!
